When you think of Security, do you imagine a person in a uniform with authority? Someone that is intimidating? Someone that would put you in your place because you are wrong? That would be nice wouldn't it? Someone who will protect and right the wrong. Apparently it's not how it is on campus.
Here, Campus Security is a bunch of fat, lazy, and incompetent people. All they do all day is hang out in Ford Explorers that his painted with the schools colors, just watching. The only time that they actually move is if someone pulls the fire alarm. At other times, they take their time to the incident so it is gone by the time they get there, or don't even get there at all.
They are supposed to be the ones looking after the school and the students. It is no wonder people complain about them when there is a theft or an assault at the dorms. I don't feel safe with these people. I just wish that these kids would grow a brain and act like adults. They obviously wasting their parents money or someone else's money to go to school. Going for a degree that they will not use in the future.

Generation Gap
So since going back to school I've found myself surrounded by young people who need a couple of slaps to the head. I am not sure what happened between the years that I have stopped going to college and I am not sure what generation is responsible for it. Unless people my age got pregnant when they were freshmen in high school, I know who to blame.
None of these kids have respect for others. They either ignore you or swear/flip you off when you tell them that what they are doing is wrong. "I don't give a shit what you say." (Rolls eyes) It's bad enough when these kids are smokers. The UH System is trying to implement a "Smoke Free Campus". Apparently the only campus that I see following this is KCC. Not sure why, but I like it there better than the other campuses. UH and LCC on the other hand, no one cares if they are smoking near a door. "I get ecig, it's not a cigarette!" Whatever it is, you're putting something other than oxygen into your lungs. I don't care if you have the illusion that ecigs and vaping are more healthier than the traditional cigarette. Also, I don't know what kind of doctor prescribes weed to their patients. I thought doctors are tell their patients not to smoke!??
Skateboards. Oh my god I hate them! Here's the thing. If you see a sign that says "Walk your Wheels", why do you still ride your skateboard? You're going to a university to learn things. But apparently you don't know how to read. I would think that reading is a high priority when entering any level of schooling. Your parents are wasting money on you because you're too damn stupid to even read a simple sign. I saw a student ride his skateboard in the hallway. "You're not supposed to be doing that." "There shouldn't be any dogs either!" "Ass wipe!" "WHAT?" "You hard of hearing? I said asswipe!" As you can see I didn't not start the altercation. Why in the hell would you ride wheels in a hall way, unless you're in a wheelchair? Skateboards aren't wheelchairs. Also I have no clue where he saw a dog on campus, but if he did then all the girls wearing shorts as panties should leave.
What ever happened to being respectful to people? If you're doing something wrong, don't get offended by it. There is a reason why people are telling you that you are wrong, because maybe your parents didn't raise you right. It's not parenting when you put an iPhone or iPad in front of a baby and have it watch cartoons all day. Yeah, that's good parenting. You let your kids run around and scream in a store while you're just shopping away. That's good parenting. I swear, there should be a requirement for people who want to have kids or expecting. If they fail a test, they get a free abortion. Done deal.
