Mine or Yours?
It's not that I don't like criticism. The only time I actually will take it in, whether good or bad, was back in school. I despised writing essays and term papers on subjects that I will never use in my life. "Compare and contrast the relationship between New Zealand and Africa and determine how much L&P both countries consume in a span of 5 years." That was totally made up but I did come across those kinds of essay writing. For those of you who don't know what L&P is, stands for "Lemon & Paeroa", a popular soda in New Zealand that has a medicinal lemon taste (to my 'merican palate) but goes very well with Hokey Pokey ice cream as a float. Go look up Hokey Pokey ice cream. Anyway, now that I have expanded your mind a bit, here is my rant. It's real funny and yet irritating, when people tell me how MY stuff should be. I am not sorry on how my writing style does not fit in with your sense of writing. I'm not trying to write a novel or anything, its a BLOG! I'm not a sheep and will conform on how certain things SHOULD be by someone else. My blog ain't no place for dictatorship, HAHA! I didn't ask for help on how my writing style should be, or if my grammar is correct. I remember the days of Myspace where everyone didn't set their profile to private and just added people for the FS of adding people, and constant comments on how crappy profiles were and that their blogs were so horrible. Jesus Christ! I know we have opinions, but some people set the tone as if they are scolding them. "I'm going to slap your hand if you keep on typing in all caps." Is this blog mine or yours? You tell me what to do, doesn't mean I'll do it just because you said it. I had an ex coworker who would constantly tell people "No no no, this is what YOU should..." Especially if she attempted to give her take on relationships, when she has 3 kids from 2 different guys and is having issues with her current husband. Yeah, I'm so going to listen to you!
