So what if your baby is on board...
You know those stickers that people put on their car, the "Baby On Board" ones? Well this morning I saw one on the back of a red Highlander. It was probably from one of those Asian places, because what it appeared to be either Korean or Chinese, I'm guessing was the translation of "Baby on Board Please Pass It". Huh? Pass what? Your baby? Besides having my "just woken up" brain trying to decipher what the hell does the sticker mean, I thought, 'wait.. You people drive like maniacs with your children in the car with you or not'. I've seen parents in all types of cars weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating, speeding, and thinking that they can drive onto the sidewalk when making a left turn on South King St. and Victoria St. I don't think the Toyota Camry that you drive will save your children in the back seat when you decide to speed and try to take over a bus just because you don't want to wait while it picks up people. What are the chances of your Escalade rolling over when you try to beat the red light when turning a corner? I'm sure your children will be having some emotional issues when they grow older. Maybe be too afraid of driving because Mommy and Daddy are wackos behind the wheel. Or mimic the same way you drive. How the hell did you all get your driver's licence anyway? From a Cracker Jack Box?

I like the old school reference at the end. I remember when I used to actually get stuff in boxes of Cracker Jacks besides a piece of paper. :)
ReplyDeleteWho know when they started making Baby on Board signs in other languages. I never understood what the purpose of them was anyway. There are way too many horrible drivers on the road. Keep your babies out of the streets people!
Well from the way that it was written, I'm assuming it was Korean. Like when you see things from Morning Glory.
